Auckland-based Boyd PR has been shortlisted in the PR Awards Asia 2019 in the PR Event category for its campaign WOW My Town.
WOW My Town is one of 283 entries shortlisted out of 723 submissions and Boyd PR is the one of two New Zealand agencies shortlisted across all award categories.
The PR Awards, organised by Campaign, celebrate the most outstanding, inspired and successful campaigns, individuals and companies in Asia-Pacific’s communications industry.
Boyd PR’s Managing Director John Boyd says the agency is incredibly proud to be shortlisted for an award.
“It really was a team effort involving BPR, Mazda and WOW, who all worked bloody hard to make WOW My Town such a success. To have this recognised at the PR Awards Asia 2019 is fantastic for all involved,” he says.

To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the World of WearableArt, principal sponsor Mazda NZ drove the first-ever WOW My Town roadshow across New Zealand.
Over ten days, a custom-wrapped Mazda CX-9 and Mazda6 travelled over 1,500kms visiting Auckland, Taupo, Nelson, Christchurch, and Queenstown before ending in Wellington just in time for the opening night of the 2018 WOW Awards Show.

Daily content was generated and shared across Mazda’s social platforms along with an 11-minute film featuring memories from past designers, models and super-fans that was also screened at the WOW hub in Wellington.
The 18th PR Awards Asia will take place in Hong Kong on 12th June.
