The South Australian Tourism Commission want to keep Adelaide and South Australian regions top of mind for Kiwis looking for a holiday destination.
After the devastation of the bushfires that hit South Australia in late 2019 it was more important than ever to keep SA top of mind and highlight that the region is still open for visitors.
As part of a yearly famil programme BPR secured Stuff travel journalist Brook Sabin, and his partner Radha Engling, to travel to South Australia on a food, wine and adventure media famil.
Brook and Radha travelled to the wineries in Barossa Valley and visited the wildlife sanctuaries on Kangaroo Island as well as attending some Adelaide Fringe Festival shows.
Despite the bushfires damaging much of the nature on Kangaroo Island, Brook and Radha were blown away by South Australia and partook in a range of activities including cuddling koalas on Kangaroo Island and a sunrise hot air balloon ride over Barossa vineyards.
Brook has a following of 12,900 on Instagram, and Radha has a following of 10,000 on her Instagram, Global Admirer.
Brook and Radha’s trip garnered a total of 75 Instagram static posts and stories between them, and five pieces of media coverage, in print and online for Stuff.co.nz.
