Opening Date Announcement
Announcing IKEA’s opening date was a big deal that needed to be done right! Our team partnered with IKEA to deliver an opening event that made headlines and fit the brand’s unique tone and style.
The key part of the event was an exciting visual moment, which needed to be captivating, interesting, and engaging. We developed the creative concept of using a giant Post-it Note to reveal the date. This not only reflected the simplicity and functionality of the IKEA brand but was an eye-catching visual moment for attendees.
Working with a long list of suppliers and managing a location that was an active construction site, we delivered an event that generated significant earned media, driving nationwide anticipation and excitement about the store launch.
The Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Christopher Luxon was in attendance along with over 100 stakeholders and media. Attendees had a sneak peek of the new 34,000 m² store, which will be open in time for Christmas shoppers across New Zealand.
