Healthy takeaways and plant-based festive feasts

Menulog data drives tasty media stories  

Using data from online delivery platform Menulog we compiled the year’s top takeaway dishes and trends which were used to support a Newshub TV story about the rise of healthy eating over the festive season.

With more than 3000 restaurants on its platform, Menulog’s data provides key insights into the eating and dietary habits of Kiwis. The story was developed in partnership with Menulog restaurant partners and a key finding in 2022 was demand for vegan dishes increasing 30% year on year.

The top takeaway dishes, which was a close run battle between butter chicken and burgers, also generated coverage across mainstream and trade media channels.
